This is the third time Republicans in Congress have promised to draw abundant water from an empty well, and most informed observers, including Paul Krugman, know it won't work this time either. In reality, taking all factors into account, the latest Tax Care for Billionaires boondoggle is almost certain to create financial difficulties for many more people than it benefits. The real pain will come when they start cutting billions out of health care to finance the windfall that will go largely to Donnie Doughnuts and those who are even wealthier than he is.
It might be worth it if there's enough voter backlash to make the GOP a minority party for 20 years or so. The power to do shit like this needs to be stripped away from them for a generation. We'll have to wait and see.
Added 5:25 PM: When it comes to Donnie Doughnuts, there's no end to the outrageous shit that fat fuck is being allowed to get away with.
