Our local newspaper has one of those weekly columns where two automotive experts answer reader mail and offer advice about their car problems. Kind of a Dear Abby for drivers. Last week's topic was engine coolant; it was pointed out that because it has a sweet taste, pets will sometimes lick up coolant puddles in the garage or on the driveway resulting in fatal poisoning. Since this information was published where thousands of Texans could read it, I'm wondering how long it'll be until one of them tries a little taste of engine coolant, just to verify it really has a sweet flavor.
