I was wondering about that...

Who are the 15 percent who say U.S. is on right track? Front page Chron.com - Houston Chronicle:

"Fewer than one in seven, or 15 percent, say the country is on the right path, according to the latest Associated Press-Yahoo News poll of adults. In these economically tough times, they tend to be older, less educated, conservative and supporters of Republican presidential candidate John McCain."

Cut from an AP article in today's newspapers. And about 30 percent of Americans approve of W's job performance. Absolutely amazing. According to the article, most of the people who think the country's on the right track believe they're personally well off and are happy with their own situations. This is additional evidence that I may not belong in the human race. My personal situation is reasonably comfortable, I'm getting along okay, but I still think things are going to hell in a handbasket.
