FiveThirtyEight.com offers this early take on possible problems for the Dems in the 2010 midterm elections. It'll probably serve them right if they lose their majority status in either the House or Senate, or both. They had everything set up perfectly to begin shoveling dirt into the Republican grave -- and were able to piss it away. Gutless and disorganized are two of the more polite descriptions of congressional Democrats that come to mind. At the risk of repeating myself, Democrats are only tolerable when compared to Republicans, who are demonstrably worse -- but can NEVER be described as gutless and disorganized. What will really chap my ass is watching the Republicans gloat if they regain the majority and are able to hammer the final nails into Obama's coffin.
