Lone star fans

In the aftermath of the implosion earlier this week, I've been reading the comments from readers on the various state newspaper websites regarding the survival of the Big Whatever. One conclusion I've drawn is that many college football fans in Texas are disgustingly provincial. For them, if something didn't involve a former Southwest Conference team, it never happened.
