The state legislature is using part of its session to piddle around with the issue of red-light cameras, which some municipalities utilize as a revenue source.
Those cameras should be an incentive for drivers to begin slowing down when they see the traffic light ahead change from green to yellow. For too many Texans, the yellow light is a signal to floorboard it. If I'm driving the first car in line, I've learned to wait about 2-3 extra seconds after the light changes from red to green to give those assholes enough time to go tear-assing through the red light in their lane.
Like openly carrying loaded guns, speeding through intersections in Texas has evolved into a god-given right which can only be taken away by Obama-lovin' commie bastards.
