Dumbassery

Occasionally things are so simple even I can understand them. But there are conservative pundits who can't seem to follow the simplest line of reasoning.

There were several right-wingers who expressed favorable opinions of the DNC. Some of them envied the Democratic Party's ability to stage such an impressive event, and a few even thought the Democratic message was what Republicans represented in the pre-Cheese Doodle days. But there were a few conservative observers who believed HRC missed an opportunity to win the votes of disgruntled Republicans by promising to support a relatively progressive political agenda.

Really? How fucking stupid do people need to be to think that, for god's sake?

Look, motherfuckers, it's really this simple. HRC could promise to abolish the IRS and she wouldn't have motivated 0.25 percent of GOP voters to switch. Her goal is to win in November, meaning she needs the active support of Bernie's acolytes  and as many of their votes as she can possibly get. If she holds on to the Obama voters and adds a large percentage of the Sanders fans, she'll probably coast to a victory in 100 days or so.

Sucking up to right-wingers hoping for crossover support would've cost HRC any shot at persuading the Sanders voters to stay with her. Any Republicans who'll vote for her in November will do it because they're educated and intelligent enough to know she'd never produce the kind of chaos and disaster that Trump could create in his first three months or so. She doesn't need to promise them Scalia clones on the Supreme Court to get their votes. If what the Cheese Doodle is promising won't make them switch, they're hopeless.
