Hearing testimony

I just finished watching nearly three consecutive hours of Michael Cohen's testimony before the House Oversight Committee on MSNBC, and now I have a headache. The GOP members of the committee each used their allotment of TV minutes to perform a dog-and-pony show for Double Cheese Shitburger, who's watching on TV in Vietnam, and the ignorant yahoos in their districts who elected them. The performances mainly consist of reading from prepared scripts about what a no-good bastard Cohen is, and what a sham the hearing is because Cohen is so crooked. The only questions they ask Cohen after they finish pontificating are of the "When did you stop beating your wife?" variety.

There isn't a single Republican on the committee who isn't an embarrassment to the United States. Maybe being one of the worst people in the world is a requirement for congressional committee membership if you're a Republican. Jordan, Meadows, Massie, Roy, Higgins, Gosar and Armstrong are among the worst of the worst on this particular committee. Real scum of the earth types.

Added 5:42 PM: Correction to earlier statement. There is at least one Republican on the committee who doesn't seem to be a rotten lowlife. When he was questioning Cohen, I thought he was a Democrat because he asked sensible, thoughtful questions. His name is Justin Amash, from Michigan, and he didn't spend his five minutes rehashing the stuff that got Cohen a prison sentence.

On the flip side, there are a whole bunch of impressive Democratic committee members. They look even more promising in a side-by-side comparison with some of the worst the GOP has to offer, like Jordan.
