Q NOTES # 473: Short Cuts 8

It appears the headline stories today are Investigations and Indictments. In Congress, Madam Speaker is off to a solid start implementing the select committee which will investigate the 1/6 insurrection abomination. Details worth noticing include Madam Speaker's choice of Liz Cheney to participate, as one of maybe two House (R)s who might serve the best interests of both the committee and the country. It's also being reported the investigation should stretch into next year, possibly serving as a neat prelude to the midterm election.

In the Indictments area, Weisselberg, the CFO of the former guy's organization, has been indicted on a charge of grand larceny, has surrendered, and is in handcuffs.

Elsewhere, the entertaining matter of the former guy and Ron DeSantis in conflict, or at least disagreement, is back in the news. This time, the conflict involves DeSantis trying to persuade DeSnotbubble to postpone another of his planned pep rallies. Just wait until former guy sees the news coverage of DeSantis and Joe meeting in a spirit of cooperation at a moment of crisis. Some shit should hit the fan then.
