Q NOTES # 859: That 9:00 PM Hour

The wonderful technology of digital video recording made it possible for me to see the 9:00-10:00 PM hour of the eighth House J6 Committee hearing that I wasn't able to watch last night. I'm glad I didn't miss it because in my opinion, it was the best overall 60-minute presentation of the ones I've seen.

The subject was the waste of shit's dereliction of duty on 01/06/2021, and I was very impressed by the articulate testimony of both live witnesses and the eloquence of the committee members --- Luria, Kinzinger, and especially the closing statement by Liz Cheney, which should be mandatory viewing for every U.S. voter. There was enough 2021 video of the waste of shit to prove he's a fucking mental case who will never abandon his own agenda, bitching that he won the 2020 election in a landslide and has mountains of evidence proving it was stolen from him.

In the long run, it should help Democrats in 2022 and 2024 to have the attention of nearly all Trumplickans consumed by Princess Minnie BooHoo's personal grievances and revisiting the same insanity over and over again.

In current news, Steve (Pigpen) Bannon is guilty of contempt of Congress (both counts), and deserves the maximum punishment allowed by law (roughly two years in the pen and at least $100,000 in fines).

A couple of closing thoughts on Hearing No. 8 ~~

The 187 minutes that the waste of shit spent watching the Capitol attack coverage on Fox News was probably the happiest three hours he enjoyed in 2021.

There are a number of observers, mainly liberals, bellyaching about the way Republican witnesses who've testified are treated like heroes, even though most of them were active in the waste of shit's admenstruation (sic). My opinion is that treating those folks with gratitude and respect is in no way inappropriate. Every indication is that the hearings are significantly influencing public opinion, and have succeeded in getting the attention of voters ~~ with TV audiences that have surpassed early expectations. The way the presentation of information has been managed is responsible for these outcomes, so liberals need to knock off the complaints and explain where things would stand without any (R) cooperation.
