Years ago, when we were kids in public school, a popular put-down of another kid was this: He thinks he's hot snot, but he's really just cold boogers.
I'm convinced the Blob (now a senile old fool) wants to repeat the years in his life when he was younger and starred in a popular TV show as an important real estate hotshot who had all the answers and was incapable of a wrong move. An advantage of being a TV superstar was the opportunity to sexually assault beautiful girls without legal repercussions (which is why I refer to him as Pussydent).
His laziness and ignorance make Blobbo unqualified to serve as an actual President of the United States, so he reworked "POTUS" into another TV reality show, with him as the popular leading man performing for an audience of loyal fans. In other words, he thinks he's hot snot, but he's just cold boogers.
Added 1:51 PM Monday: In POTUS, the Blob pretends to be a whiz in the area of international economics, and he also plays a devout Christian who protects conservative evangelical lunatics. Since he's obviously one of the worst people in America, Blobbo's evangelical followers are just seeing what they want to see, nothing that's really there.
