The Great American Patriot, The Reincarnation of Reagan, in a magnificent gesture intended to secure our ultimate victory in The War On Terror, has decided to suspend his campaign. The fact that he's been pissing away his millions in a fruitless effort had nothing to do with it. The only thing that Willard's pullout guarantees is that the next prez won't be an Eddie Haskell clone.
Walnuts is virtually assured the GOP nomination, assuming old age don't get him between now and August. Now I need Barry Obama to win the Dem nomination, setting up (for me) the closest thing to a win-win situation as is possible in the 2008 election. When Wes Clark decided not to run, I was left without a dog in the chase. Like most voters in most American elections, I started looking for ways to make the best of a bad situation and trying to figure out which of the twenty or so Dems and Repubs running would end up being the lesser of two evils. The narrowing-down process is picking up momentum.
Limbo is in a sarcastic sulk this afternoon, but he's made one interesting assertion: With Willard out of the contest, Walnuts no longer needs Huckabuck to run interference in the remaining primaries. Maybe the end of The Huck's VP ambitions ?
