Russki activity

I'm trying to catch up with some of the world events today. Not a fan of the Olympics, so scratch that. There's been some news about Russia, though. They invaded a country that was pissing them off because they decided a little regime change was in order. Why does that storyline seem so familiar, and how did Ace McCain get to be responsible for American foreign policy this month ? Was it his turn or something ?

Added 9:50 am on Thursday: The more I read about the Russki-Georgia conflict, the more confused I get. Maybe securing oil pipelines figured into the invasion ? Still sounds familiar. Meanwhile, President Ace McCain is sending his envoys, two cheese puffs named Lieberman and Graham, to the war zone to get things squared away. A top foreign policy adviser on Ace's campaign staff was also a paid lobbyist for the Georgian government, but Ace assures us there's no conflict of interest involved. Man, that's a big relief.
