While checking highway travel conditions for my bro, I came across the term carpe diem, which is a Latin expression roughly meaning pluck the day. It generally refers to living for the moment and letting tomorrow take care of itself.
Speedo is all about carpe diem. During the Repub primary debates, when he was struggling in a deathmatch with Rudy Giuliani and Willard Romney, Speedo liked to talk about national security experience and how he, as a Senator, had it and someone who had been a mayor "for a short time" or a governor "for a short time" didn't have it.
