She takes, just like a woman...

Trig's mom is the focus of much of this morning's blogosphere discussion. It looks like all that noise about how she cut spending, lowered taxes, eliminated earmarks, and reformed Alaskan government was mostly untrue. There are reports that she's "going rogue" on Speedbump's campaign to create some distance between herself and the man who picked her. One word that's surfacing as a description is "diva."

What we seem to have here is a really ambitious woman who isn't likely to get anywhere on her actual merits, but is using sex appeal to her advantage. The polls show most people aren't buying it, but Sweet Pea apparently sees herself as the dominant figure in the GOP for the next few years. Given what I know about the dumbass quotient among Repubs, she may be right about that. At any rate, whether Them Two Mavericks win or lose, Trig's mom won't be going away. In most regards that's unfortunate, but at least she'll keep me in subject matter.
