Over the years I've been issued a lot of credit cards. Nearly all of them sat around unused, and eventually expired without renewal. Currently, I have one card, issued through our credit union, which we rarely use other than when we take the kids out to eat, or when mrs. bee is traveling without me. I make a point of paying the balance (usually under 200 bucks) in full every month. In the world I grew up in, paying bills on time and avoiding prolonged debt was considered wise behavior.
Now we have bullshit like this to deal with. Penalizing customers for paying off the balance on their accounts every month. Just fucking amazing. And if the customers decide to cancel the cards, their credit scores may be negatively affected. Beautiful. So far, I haven't had to decide whether or not to try living with no credit cards, but I'm afraid the decision is on the horizon and I'm probably not going to be happy regardless of what I choose to do.
