Ten rotten years

New Year's Eve, December 31, 2009. All across the internet there are opinion page commentaries dealing with how fucked up the last ten years were. Reading through them, my memory is refreshed and I realize many fucked up things happened that I had forgotten. In other words, those years were even worse than I remember them being. Looking back, it seems like I spent most of the decade being angry and/or frustrated, mostly about what conservative Republicans were doing and getting away with. Things should be happier for me in the next ten years if I focus nearly all my attention and energy on aspects of my personal life, and stop reading and thinking about poliicians and their activities. That might be easier said than done.
