The websites I read to keep up with politics are reporting that Fox News and other right-wing media started discussing collusion between Donald Dick Drip's campaign and the Russians. Instead of heatedly denying that collusion took place, as I'd expect, they're talking about it as something that's normal, legal and even patriotic. This commentary is interpreted as an effort to preempt whatever nastiness the investigations are preparing to reveal.
There are several million ignorant conservatives who vote after getting virtually all of their 'information' from sources like Fox News, and that's one big reason that things are so fucked up today. Not the only reason, but a big one.
