These days, I get most of my news from sources I consider alternative media, mostly liberal online journals that give a lot of attention to what the traditional mainstream media are currently peddling. I don't waste money or effort on the NYT, Washington Post, or Associated Press since liberal webpages can tell me what the conservative press (CP) is writing about.
Joe is stubbornly refusing to reject his nomination as the Democratic candidate, and most Democrats seem prepared to fall in line and work to help him be reelected in November. Even though opposition within the party is diminishing, the CP won't put stories about (D) panic to rest.
Common sense says if the CP are convinced the Waste of Shit will beat Joe in a landslide, the preference would be that Joe remain in the race. Although they publish polls showing Biden trailing the W/S, they may be aware of other polls telling a different story.
Also, there are fresh negative press reports making it necessary to distract attention from the W/S, especially coverage about Project 2025, his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and young girls, and his own cognitive issues.
