The beat goes on...

The current New Yorker magazine cover depicts Barry in Muslim garb and his wife as a 60s-style radical of the black militant variety. They're in the White House, with bin Laden's portrait on the wall and a US flag burning in the fireplace. It's intended to satirize and ridicule the ignorant f-ing yahoos who make an issue out of Obama's middle name and send those damned chain letter emails that are so popular among the lowbrow crowd. The cover drawing has been a focus of today's political blog discussion and some people are up in arms about it. If everyone in the country had a sophisticated sense of humor and was capable of understanding the concept of satire, it wouldn't be worth mentioning. Unfortunately that's not the case. Somewhere, someone is wondering if Mr and Mrs Barry actually posed for that picture. Pathetic.
