One hot summer day after another, and I'm trying to pass the time following the political news. There's not much going on. Barry's touring the war zones, and Ace is trying to stay in the spotlight by whining about how much the media love Barry. Another trick his campaign is trying is dropping hints that Ace might make his VP selection this week.
The media speculation is that The Crisco Kid, Willard Romney, will be the choice. Hearing that is like slipping on some boxer shorts that were soaked in water and left in the freezer overnight. Any women readers might not understand the analogy but guys will.
Ace has spent the last seven years relentlessly doing everything possible to cause me to wonder why I ever liked him. At this point, he's unlikely to make any moves that would win back my trust and respect, but putting Crisco one heartbeat from the Oval Office is guaranteed not to do it.
